City Planner

Congratulations!  You have been hired to create a layout for a flower bed monument honoring St. Catherine Laboure.  You will need to research famous gardens and their layouts.  In your blue print, you need to use the metric system to give the perimeter and area.  Then you will need to determine the placement of the flowers.  Keep in mind that flowers are typically planted ten to twelve inches apart.  Be sure to research St. Catherine’s life so that the memorial portrays her religious life.  Keep in mind the following mathematical concepts:

*   Geometry and Spatial Sense

*   Statistics and Probability

*   Patterns and Functions

*    Computations in a Real World Setting

Your presentation should be creative and original.  You are expected to add some of your own information.
