LOOK WHAT’S COMING TO OUR SCHOOL

Dear St. Joseph Family:

Again, this year our school’s PTO has teamed up with Original Works, the No. 1 art-based program in the country, to offer a very special program that allows you to have your child’s very own artwork reproduced into a number of professional, full color products.

The children in Kindergarten created self-portraits.  Grades 1st through 8th will be creating their artwork from instructions by Mr. Mueller.  A packet will be sent home with your child on October 7th with your child’s artwork, a brochure displaying all the products, an order form and a letter detailing the program.  All items that you order, along with your child’s artwork, will be delivered back to you  the second week of December, just in time for Christmas.  Please make checks payable to St. Joseph PTO.

This program is different than last year’s program.   Please read the “Dear Family” letter that is sent home in your packets on October 7th for detailed order information.  Deadline for orders is October 16th, 2009.

All of the products available for purchase through this program make great Christmas gifts.  Some ideas and suggestions that people have shared with me are as follows:  purchasing a quilt block every year with your child’s artwork and sewing those together as a gift to them in the future; giving your child a journal with their own artwork displayed on the front; luggage tags that they can use on their backpack for school; photo album for grandparents with the child’s pictures in the album; coffee cup for mom and/or dad at work; note cards as a gift to an aunt or uncle.  The list is endless.

You can view sample products in the display case in the school’s lobby, and additional product information can be found at www.originalworks.com, click on “Our Products”.  Pricing information and order forms will be delivered along with the magnets.

We are thrilled to be participating in this unique and innovative program.   Please go to the St. Joseph website home page and click on “Original Works Art” for more information.

All profits from this program will go to the Cathy Bintner Memorial Scholarship, which is a tuition scholarship to St. Joseph Education Center.
